Standard Disc Jockey Rates

  • Our rates are typically based upon a single 4-hour event. There is a 3-hour minimum for all events unless other arrangements are made.
  • All rates can and will be negotiated based upon travel costs, current specials, and applicable discounts.
  • We regularly offer discounts to repeat and recurring customers
  • Standard rates are subject to change without notice.

  • Base Prices
Standard DJ ------------------------- $300 (75/hour)
  • This includes most normal events such as regular school dances, house parties, retirement parties, graduation parties etc. The key here is non-formal.
  • You get a minimum of 900 watts of power, access to a wired microphone for announcements (or our DJ will make announcements for you)
Semi-Formal--------------------- $400 (100/hour)
  • This includes Homecoming dances, formal social events, larger events (exceeding 125 guests), small weddings, etc.
  • You get a customized sound system built to accommodate the venue and the atmosphere you are attempting to provide.
  • You will also have access to a wireless mic.
Formal ---------------------------- $500 (125/hour)
  • This is the base price for most weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, proms, etc.
  • You will be led through the process of planning your event by one of our entertainment coordinators assigned with the task first and foremost of making you happy.
  • You will have one of our experienced Wedding/Formal DJs that knows how to make your event an event everyone remembers.
  • You will get a customized sound package designed to fit your specific needs and will  have access to a wireless mic.
Glorified Jukebox ---------------- $100 (25/hour)
  • The most basic package.
  • 1 speaker and a Jukebox attendant who basically just keeps a continuous stream of music in the style of your choosing and takes requests.
  • Microphone, ipod, and/or CD input capability available for minimal fees upon request.  
NEW!  Basic Karaoke Package-  Reg $40/hour
       Meant mostly for small gatherings and house parties, the Basic Karaoke Package includes our entire karaoke library, two microphones, a karaoke attendant, and one speaker.
    

Add-Ons

These are all the options that allow you to customize your entertainment to fit your specific needs. Prices are in addition to base prices.

Karaoke ---------------------------- $25/hour
Based upon the amount of time dedicated specifically to Karaoke throughout the evening.
 
Dedicated Master of Ceremony -------------  $200
He or she plays games, keeps everybody involved, and is more or less your all-around likable entertainer meant to keep your event running smoothly and giving the DJ more time to focus on the music. 

Additional Wireless Mic-------------------------- $30

We also can design advertisements, fliers, picture slideshows to present at your event, etc. Contact Us for more details.

Sound and Lighting Packages
We will customize sound and lighting packages to fit ANY need and budget.

Basic Lighting Package - $25/hour
Typically provides 3-4 awesome effects lights to help set the mood. ($75 minimum)

'Feel the Beat' Sound Upgrade- $25/hour
This package provides a little more power and a lot more low end to your sound system and is meant for those parties that want music they can feel more than with an average mobile DJ. ($75 minimum)

Club Package ----------------------- $50/hour
This package is not for the faint of heart. Not only does this practically double your overall wattage, this package includes the kind of thump you can feel in your chest for hours after you've gotten off the dance floor.
This also automatically includes a club lighting package, meant to replicate the hottest dance club wherever you are. ($150 minimum)

Misc Add-ons
Looking for something different or unique? Perhaps you want to run karaoke on a large projected screen? Or maybe you would like to have a laser show? No matter what you want, Effects will find a way to accommodate your desires! Just ask!

Awesome New Services


The Confession Booth -    $75 for the first hour and $25 per hour after
This is a very cool new idea Effects has been employing at weddings, dances, and events of all kinds in conjunction with our DJ services. We set off a quiet corner with a sleek black curtain where your party guests can go and speak into a high-quality voice recorder. After the event, we cut up the messages and confessions and package them together on a CD.
  This is a great keepsake for newly married couples, birthday boys and girls, or even organizations to listen back and hear all of their friends', families', and co-workers' well-wishes and happy thoughts.
   This includes the first 20 copies of the CD (additional copies are $1 each.

Remembrance Mix -    $50 for the option, $2 dollars per disc.
You've already booked one of our AWESOME Disc Jockey services and know your night is going to rock. Make sure all of your guests can remember it forever with the Remembrance Mix. This is a real-time recording of your event, which is then broken down into the best 90 minutes and burnt to a disc for your guests to buy at a later date. Great for fundraisers!

A quick note about our equipment:


For those of you that are familiar with sound systems, please be aware that as a company, it is our policy to only purchase and use the best of sound equipment, even if it is more expensive. That being said, our prices are slightly affected by that policy.

When you hire Effects, you are paying for equipment that will sound better than 90% of companies in our competing price range.

We also carry a full line of back up equipment to ensure no glitch can come in the way of a flawless evening.
